I still don't get all the negative talk about Q4. I really enjoyed the game (on the PC) and thought the multi-player was great. I put MANY hours into it. For me the list is as follows:

Best -> Worst

Quake 2
Quake 4
Quake
Quake Champions (needs more maps though)
Quake Live
Q3A (good, but I preferred Unreal Tournament)



Quake Wars: Enemy Territory (there's a reason this is further down)

Loved Quake 4, never played anything like it at the time. Got it on a friday night, finished it in two sittings in my underwear because it was spring and it was hotter than hell in my dorm room

1) Quake
2) Quake 2
3) Quake 4
4) Q2: The Reckoning
5) Q2: Ground Zero
6) Quake 3 (never played it, f*** MP only shooters)

Runners up: Quake 2 soundtrack (didn't even know Quake 1 had music until ten years after it came out, finally got around to listening to it and didn't care for it at all. By then silence was integral to the Q1 atmosphere for me)

It's a fan made mission pack,but boasts itself as a cannon experience, though unofficial, it's quite up to bar with the quality of the official mission packs.(better than the first pack IMO)
