How to install mods on steam?

I have found some really cool mods I want to install but the only how-to's i can find is for the non steam version of the game. can anybody help me?

they should be the same mate, if youhave win RAR then download it to the desktop, once its on the desktop right click on it and press extract files. Now go to documents/mygames/farmingsimulator2011/mods and place the file you extracted on the desktop to the mods folder.

I have same problem than you, frodo. :( and aussie motocrosser, there's no mod folder in steam version. :(

I have the steam version and there deffo is a mod folder in the steam version ... use the path outlined by Aussie motocrosser ..... its in documents not in the steam files game folder

You can mod steam version, I followed instructions on a youtube vid and it worked great.

ummm if u want easy mods go to the main mod stie u can get exe mods ther they go right in ur mod folder

The mod Folder is in C\Users\%username%\My Documents\My Games\Farmingsimulator 2011\mods. Just place everything in there as a .zip file. If its an RAR file, its mostly a complete modpack including more then one .zip. If you have any questions, just PM me :)

Thanks for all the replies guys :) luckly i found out how to do it, about ten minutes after I posted this :) but hey, it's always nice to see the steam community in action :D

go download the mod you want searchn in ur docs farming simulator then look for a folder called mods, open it, then open ur mod u downloaded click the folder with the 2 dots then drag that folder in to mods then u has it :)
