Axis & Allies 1942 Online

Axis & Allies 1942 Online

This Version of the Game Axis & Allies is really bad.
People who Loves this Board Game. Don't waste money on it.

1. Hard to get a Quick Overview of what is happening --- Bad Gameflow--- Units disappear inside brackets/under menues.

2. Akward Dice rolls

3. Sad Cinematics

You are not wrong that cinematics are weak but that was never the point of A&A, the gameflow is actually amazing if you can't dedicate 4 hours at a time to play a complete game. You play your turn and only control things when you are on offense. On defense you set your parameters and those are automatically taken off the board based on the random dice numbers. The properties are the same, a bomber gets a hit with a 4 or less so you have a 4 in 6 chance at getting a hit. I suggest play the AI until you get used to the commands and the movement and then start playing ranked play. The computer will match you up with competitor who is at a similar level as you and you find that you get better play than you could ever have on the regular board game (which I still adore btw, just do not have the time or a fancy library to leave it undisturbed by children or dog).

I like it. Plus it's pretty hard to get more than 1-2 IRL games of this per year, but online gaming is always available. Well worth the money.

I was a long-time player of the board game and I really like the online game. Finding a game is easy. The game does have a few quirks but overall I think it is a good effort and I am enjoying it. The biggest complaint I have is that there seem to be a few players who start games and then abandon them often just letting their time run rather than forfeiting so that the rest of the players can continue.

How do you save a game? This game takes hours and I can't save a single player game?! Fun for my son and I but we can't stay up all night playing it.

its turn based, there is no need to save. it will persist wherever you leave it. so long as its only you guys in the lobby, noone can kick you for inactivity

Huge fan of this game. One of the best board game conversions in video gaming today.

Yeah anyone who thinks playing on the board is better is in serious denial. Good luck even finding an opponent, then the game is going to take about 5 times longer and there's a good chance you'll run out of pieces. Long game can have stacks over 100 units.
