If you do shore bombardment from a given sea zone to support an amphibious assault, you cannot also do naval combat in that sea zone.
It's either shore bombardment -or- naval combat, and not both.
At least that's been my understanding how it is supposed to work in this edition of A&A.
Possibly although I wasn't aware of that if that's the case. In any event, its not throwing the error in a way that allows me to correct it.
Why would a battle ship or cruiser, having just won the naval conquest, be disallowed from providing shore bombardment in the same area for the ensuing amphibious assault?
That is anti-realistic in my opinion, and it may help explain why some other players have recently complained that they don't see the real value in these expensive units.
I just did a dummy round one with Germany attacking Egypt, and found that these limitations of my German battle ship made it worthless in that conflict too.
Please consider the above - That's all I am asking.
Fair enough.
Doesn't matter. My opponent booted me from the game.
