These dice control for extreme results. For each roll, the game takes a random result out of 100 that corresponds to possible dice outcomes (1 through 6). Results of 2, 3, and 4 are more likely to occur than results of 1, 5, or 6.
This then degrades the defending 1 of the AAA, sub and attacking AC?
it changes nothing, the problems remain.
Probably the developers believe here are a few users, who nag at their beautiful program. But on the store page it says: Axis & Allies, includes the 1942 Second Edition game board and rules. But this has not been done yet.
I do not know what they are doing, but it seems like they made some improvements. I still get a ton of bad rounds and nearly all my losses are first round forfeits due to such bad rolls, there was no chance to recover from them.
Can they improve? I am sure they can, but I see that rolls are not as tragic as they were a couple of seasons back. So I will give them credit for trying.
Battle off England, lost to subs, cruiser, and one aircraft with only hitting the battleship once. 2 Subs against UK destroyer, after two rounds the destroyer was still there and my subs lost.
Attacking Russia with superior forces and only could get 1 hit per round compared to Russia's 3 or more.
It was a bad game due to rolls, and could not recover, but the one other non-ranked game I started playing got no where near as bad as that.
So, as much as I hate the dice rolls, as of right now, I have to still say they are better than before when I played more often.
Try sticking it out. Who knows, the person you played against has been having the same experiences as you, and you happened to be his/her break in bad games.
