Please try out the Preview build. We've included 2 new dice modes there: Biased Dice and Low Luck. https://www.beamdog.com/news/sneak-peek-major-update-coming-soon/

Biased Dice
These dice control for extreme results. For each roll, the game takes a random result out of 100 that corresponds to possible dice outcomes (1 through 6). Results of 2, 3, and 4 are more likely to occur than results of 1, 5, or 6.
This then degrades the defending 1 of the AAA, sub and attacking AC?

Pick your poison. Many complaints about the dice. The developers responded. I applaud them. BTW, standard dice are still an option.

After all, the developers are not reacting. Instead of replacing the absurd dice mode, they try to fix it. Whether standard, stabilized, biased or low luck dice
it changes nothing, the problems remain.
Probably the developers believe here are a few users, who nag at their beautiful program. But on the store page it says: Axis & Allies, includes the 1942 Second Edition game board and rules. But this has not been done yet.

I am generally not a dice fan and I have beaten up the devs quite a bit over my dislike for the dice. With that said, when I came back this season it started off like previous seasons with absolutely horrible 1st round experience. My first 20 plus bomber raids basically all got shot down, but this past week it seems to have leveled out and most of my bombers are surviving. Some are actually getting some good hits. My first week back and my Battleships couldn't hit anything, this week they have actually hit shore targets. Not as often as they should, but before they hit nothing.

I do not know what they are doing, but it seems like they made some improvements. I still get a ton of bad rounds and nearly all my losses are first round forfeits due to such bad rolls, there was no chance to recover from them.

Can they improve? I am sure they can, but I see that rolls are not as tragic as they were a couple of seasons back. So I will give them credit for trying.

Alright, do not play a lot of private games since coming back to the game, but just had round 1 loss due to tragic roles as Germany. I lost every battle or won it with nothing left to take the land with. Did not take one sea zone of land area. My cost of lost were higher than both Russia and England combined. . Oh one exception, I did finally sink the destroyer in the med, after many roles and taking one hit to my battleship.

Battle off England, lost to subs, cruiser, and one aircraft with only hitting the battleship once. 2 Subs against UK destroyer, after two rounds the destroyer was still there and my subs lost.

Attacking Russia with superior forces and only could get 1 hit per round compared to Russia's 3 or more.

It was a bad game due to rolls, and could not recover, but the one other non-ranked game I started playing got no where near as bad as that.

So, as much as I hate the dice rolls, as of right now, I have to still say they are better than before when I played more often.

Try sticking it out. Who knows, the person you played against has been having the same experiences as you, and you happened to be his/her break in bad games.
