Dice, mods & Customs Games
Im almost 50 years old, so im not into all this forum/internet stuff. But I have a suggestion.

Could we have a mod mode or custom games option ?

I play dice and statistics games (heavily), and A&A have been a staple for me since 1993. Im fed up with the wonky dice rolls (The same b*llsh*t as with Bloodbowl; I dont touch that game anymore), and the linear restricted gameplay.
Give us the freedom to choose our own style of play (All offline play, no ladder, rank, etc.)

Suggestions:
1) Two modes. The first one with YOUR dice roll engine, the second with a SUPER BASIC random generator dice roll engine - I understand you need to balance out certain elements in the game to make it fun, playable and/or fair, especially when fighting the CPU (which we accept will make weird choices from time to time). Just give us the choice and let us decide whether we find it "fun" or not.

2) Give us a way to flex between CPU and HUMAN controlled factions - I understand you want the game to be played the way it is supposed to (hence your st*p*d note about incurring penalties on the next game when deleting the current one; thank G*d that message is gone). But for me, sometimes I like to set up a specific game (Like in chess), and that requires some game elements to be set up in a way that hotseat cant do. If I can control the CPU for one or two rounds it would make those scenarios workable.

3) Flexible ally choice. One of the modes we really liked playing back in the day, was Germany & USA vs. the rest of the world, and sometimes Germany vs. ALL (they got extra credits) - I understand that if your programming is reliant on certain pre-made strategic choices this would not be doable, but if your programming is reliant on 1-2 turn statistics alone, I would say it is okay for me to ask.

In general what Im asking for, is not to change the game, keep your set standard settings as the vanilla and official tournament rules. And make it clear that this is the game as it was intended.
....What I am asking for, is to EXPAND the game to players who wants to utilize the inbuilt creativity of this magnificent game.

Are you EA or Linux on this ?

p.s.

Amphibious boats and how to load or unload is not really working at its best. I still have to reset/cancel my orders too many times (especially with one boat stack with many diverse units from different territories). Its like I make one freaking mistake, and then I have to cancel all my eight other boats in the stack that were done correctly
...Sometimes I feel like loading/unloading units on stacked boats is a minigame in itself:

I dont know how to fix it or how to do it better, and to be honest I can work around it. But since so many other elements are working so smoothly I just wanted to give you a heads up on something that I think gives other people frustrations as well.

p.p.s.
I have to tell you that I think you made a d*mn good job, on converting this board game into a steambased game. Your enthusiasm and dedication is what make me believe it is not completely st*p*d to try and post something in here.
So even if you dont respond or do any of my suggestions, you still have done a great job making this game come through.
