How similar is this to Shelter?

Looking at Endling, it seems really similar to the Shelter game in 2013.

In both game you are a mom (fox vs badger) going through an environment trying to survive.

I guess Endling is 2d and a little more open-world, but they do seem to have a lot in common.

Endling has a very different style than the shelter games. There is a clear story in Endling and Endling is in general a lot more depressing as it focuses on a post apocalyptic world with humans in it.

I'd not say post apocalyptic. That implies something huge specific happened and ppl are trying to survive after it. Here I guess we have the story of a future after decades of continuous pollution, after a point that it's irreversible.
