Pup Skills

I'm loving the game so far! The tutorials can be a little confusing at first. My one problem is that for the longest time I didn't know what the paw print icon meant because it never taught me. I only learned it was for pup skill stuff during a splash screen. I wasn't even told what button to press.

when i played demo they somehow by themselves done it, now - i dunno...

You press R when you get to certain locations with a paw print, though your pups will need to learn the skill first. (Usually this will happen when you get to a certain area; don't stress about it)

I'm on that bit, and I can't figure out how to get out of it. When I press escape it does nothing.

Nevermind, the esc key just wasn't working the first couple times I clicked it.

You have to press R. You can only use blue paw prints. The controls aren't super intuitive.9

I think you need to unlock skills somehow I am playing with a controller skill keybind n R doesnt work need a skill I know should. Weird bug I guess. Do you remember where you unlocked the skill tutorial?

A little bit of clarification about the pup/cub skills:
Once unlocked in an unique scene located somewhere around the world of Endling, cubs will be able to perform mentioned skills. The paw icon notifies you about spots to perform a skill and the colour tells you, if you can use it (blue) or not (grey).
Regardless of your input method (controller or keyboard) you can always open Settings -> Controls to find the button mapping. The key/button named Skill does all the cub skill interaction. It will also be prompted once you (the vixen) are close enough to help the cub perform its skill.

I believe they're marked as events on the map.

as someone who just started the game and found and egg with the paw icon its kinda dumb having me to search forums for an explanation to why i cant pick up an damn egg

Do all the pups learn at the same time? I just learned climb and only one of them learned it. I couldn't force the other one to learn for some reason...

Hi everyone. I'm playing this game for a while and I can't activate pup skills. I tried to press R, R+E, action button+R but still nothing. I already started a new game (twice for now). What to do? Is there any solution? Thank you for your attention

Hi TheCorpse. Your cubs have to learn those skills first. It's happening in a prominent sequence followed by a prompt telling you which skill the cub has learnt. Did you see something like that already? If your cubs have not learnt the right skill the paw icon you'll see then will be grey instead of blue.

Thank you so much. I finished the game yesterday and totally in love with it. Tears came up and I let go the feelings inside of me. Such a huge experience.
