I wish there was another less tragic but a 'happy' ending.
Anyway, I think the mother badger will take care of the cubs.
From other side - it shows us that even without humans animal can suffer and die to radiation sickness so no matter how hard foxy tried to survive and save the babies - there is no chance their species will survive...
So it depends on what do you prefer to believe more, but since the game idea is that the worst enemy to every animal are humans - having no humans around guarantees surviving (but since we are, as the foxy, are dead at the end - we will never find out since the game is not about feeling happy for foxies, but to feel bad for them).
possible. when a animal loses a baby or cub or whatever they call their species, its not uncommon for them to take care of other animals that had lost their mother, so this could happen. but its not canon, as if you dont save the badger from the trap, the badger wont be there in the ending.
it is! *sob*
The fact that ALL you go through - three different dens, a scavenger who kidnapped your child, and being chased down by a dude after your pelt, surviving a flood, AND drought - that you get shot in the back of the leg and die in the most natural environment you were likely born and raised into.
It's horribly dark. And very, very sad lmao
I started a new game over almost right away just so I could spend one last time with my babies, and of course mama fox herself<33
But since foxymom is dead she will never find out, story of the last fox ends here
It's implied indeed that there was a nuclear disaster there, and that's why there's the fence and that forest wasn't destroyed, because humans don't wanna go there. So they end up free from humans but might eventually die from cancer.
If it's a game where choices matter to multiple ending, the game'd have to had started many years before so humans could change their action. It's alrdy too late.
