I think the games also don't launch if you're in the right region, but that's not an issue if you're using the VPN to buy it in the first place.
It goes against Steam ToS and if they determine you've bypassed their region locking they will ban your account.
So no, there's no safe way to own them legally on Steam outside of SEA regions.
If you own a PS4 or Switch, you can import copies that are fully in English.
I'd love to buy them officially... but if a company doesn't want my money...
Hmm, I'm actually one of these rare people who like X the most - It turned me into a Reconguista fan. Besides, Xelguard is quite cool ... and I personally dislike V the most because it's SBY focus is annoying at best (and some groups, like the Trailblazer cast feel like an absolute afterthought, I mean, you fight ELS *twice*, or rather, even only once depending on route choices. And let's not forget poor Hathaway; why is he even in V at all?) ... oh, and Soji & Chitose are like, the most boring protagonists of VXT30 imho.
One (minor) advantage XT have over 30 though is that the final boss has dialoge with *everyone*, even side characters. I always found it sad that 30s final boss(es) only adress main characters when being attacked ...
But would double dip if i could get them on Steam as well.
That was before Valve locked down region switching much more tighter and it was much easier to change your region store.
Nowadays you need a payment method from the region you want to switch to which makes shopping during vacation sadly impossible.
But at least i own all the SRW games that are on Steam.
Would buy instantly.
Untangling those licenses to allow a release would be both very time consuming and very expensive.
SRW30's series were chosen because the international licenses were possible and even then console versions weren't allowed to have a digital release.
