People can access those files and download them using the ID of the game. Of course, you then can't do anything with those files... unless you're a pirate and know how to use DLLs to trick the files into thinking they are installed legitimately. So we got pirates playing already, while we wait.

But if the game gets hindered by DRM and pirates manage to figure out an even better experience for playing the game, I might consider looking into such things.
