Any chance of a "rest of world" Switch release?
Title says it all really, I'm aware that Super Robot Wars is on the Switch, but I believe only in the Japan/Asian market stores. It would be fantastic, as its coming to steam and the rest of world/west, to see it also released on those stores on the Switch.

I'm aware you can import as its not a region locked console, but then you have to mess with having different registered web-stores nad accounts to access dlc (as that only sells from the specific webstores and each switch account can only be linked to one webstore)

I doubt it seeing as they haven't announced it yet. They did the same thing with Cross Rays, where it released for most regions on Steam but only for SEA and Japan on Switch.

I can understand not releasing physical, but yea they should have at least released on eshop in the West. Maybe Steam is testing the water and if things go well they'll do that next time.

Again, I doubt it. Who knows what Bandai is thinking though. Cross Rays apparently surprised them with how well it did, especially on Steam, yet we don't have a Western release for Cross Rays still.

There's long been a stigma of "asian games don't do well in the west" and vis versa and yet often as not when a company does move a quality product from one region into the other it does well. Perhaps not "this is the greatest game ever released" but certainly within profitable thresholds. Plus as you say they don't have to do a physical; purely a digital release of the current game. Heck they've even put English into the game - its basically ready to go for the market and yet for some unknown reason its not released.

Blame it on Licensing. Blame is on Copyright. Blame it on Trademark. Also blame greed.

Indeed. Licensing issues is mainly why they don't release outside of East Asia. Them giving them English translations and releasing them on region-free consoles is basically their way to ensure the game can have an overseas prescence while skirting the licensing issues. A loophole, basically. Them taking note of such overseas sales for T is likely why we can have a worldwide Steam release with 30, but for PS4 and Switch it's still market-locked, though. Maybe for each individual console it's a separate license of use/publishing, so if they could only afford one, then might as well for the one that actually needs it.
