We have never had a western IP in SRW.
Some of us want some (I want Pacific Rim, for example, as that was what made me interested in the genre and is half of what led me to try OG1 in the first place), but it's... probably not going to happen.

Yeah just a shame is all. Megas XLR is an American love letter to the giant mecha genre, sorta like pacific rim

Megas XLR would be a great fit in SRW, though completely over the top and would have to be greatly nerfed from the TV show for obvious reasons. Its a great wish that i would love to have happen but i really doubt it ever would be done officially, fanmod sure, actually in the game not likely to happen anytime soon.

Unfortunately if the 2014 interview with George Krstic (Megas XLR creator) still rings true today, Cartoon Network had the IP written off as a tax loss and cannot be used for legal reasons. My guess is that if not for that legal loophole, it's possible that XLR could have been involved in some SRW beforehand. (My guess would be W since most of those series did have official releases in the West, so if any game would have broken through localization before, woulda been W.)

Basically, Cartoon Network's pulled a Harmony Gold/Robotech.
Pacific Rim is far more likely to appear than Megas, which is still a tax loss.

Gipsy Danger did show up during the final of Shin Mazinger ZERO vs. Great General of Darkness which the final battle against Mazinger ZERO was basically super robot war manga during the battle.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing some western mecha in the game. Like, Megas, or Symbiotic titan.

Oh, that explains why we will never get a Megas BluRay. Shame...

And it would certainly help make the series more accessible and appealing to worldwide audiences.
