Why are they skipping the release of SRW T?
Super Robot Wars V and X are up on Steam then it skips T to release SRW 30? Why?

Maybe T will come if they see that people want a PC port of it.

It's probably just a matter of timing. Instead of working to squeeze in a PC port of T between X's port and 30's release they decided to focus on getting a simultaneous PC release for 30 instead.

they are either busy on something else or some company had exclusive right for an anime for certain period so they gotta wait. * Maybe Gunbuster?

rather unfortunate that T got skipped yeh. that has a pretty good cast overall too .

also... will they put OG series on steam?

If they are planning to release a new OG game soon, they probably should at least port Moon Dwellers, though everything else will probably take a while.

They most likely will still do a PC release of T considering V and X didn't get releases on the Switch at launch for example and instead later, I would imagine its the same for a PC release for T.

imo its more likely it has to do with how japanese devs and franchises like to manage their ips outside japan, and how they usually look with distrust or look down at the foreign markets (thats why also a lot of "j-games" when made for "international release" are dumbed down, or they try to include voice acting because they believe most westerners hate reading).

Maybe they realized the sales will be bad because V and X are region-locked so only few countries could buy these games and didn't bother with T
but since 30 isn't region-locked they are giving PC another chance

Hope to see T version in near future.
Would gladly buy all three X, V and T games region free.

My assumption is that they sacrificed some licenses specifically so that they could launch this game worldwide, without regional locking. I'd guess that the license holders not wanting their IPs to be experienced outside of Asia is a reason why the older games will remain region locked.

If they would release SRW T anytime soon they would basically take attention away from SRW 30.

May be they could do it in the very long run, but since it's BN I think they'll rather move to the next project, rather than revisiting something that's been complete for years.

A good chance the same license issues that have kept SRW from getting world wide releases since forever (not counting OG) is also probably why we didn't get T. This game, at least at a glance looks like it has a somewhat smaller cast than a lot of the previous ones, which could explain why it's even getting a world wide release at all.

Because of COVID. Terada already explained that his team was asked to stop work on everything else and just focus on DD and 30. 30 has been in development since T's development ended.

The Macross deal was also in talks for years. Terada was most likely told that the deal was going good and that they would instead focus on a surprise global release of 30.

It sounds more like you are the one looking down on westerners.

I have no idea why people think it's a crime for people to prefer hearing characters talk in a language they understand.
