Once you master the grip, you will find it much easier to control your throw and convert spares. I am on a roll converting splits recently converting 22 of the last 69 splits
Are you using Valve Index controllers?
I'll have to experiment some more. The grip timing would make sense in that if I'm too early it should produce the "whiffle ball" issue I'm having. Good to know it's possible though. It's just weird that the issue disappears when I bowl with my palm at a right angle if it's a timing issue.
