Can't get the last 4 deaths: shadow lands, more wine, sad revenge and dragon hunger

I need these last 4 deaths but I've played A LOT and have gotten all royal deeds except 3 (the mad queen, the nephew and the liar), but it seems no matter what experimental things I try I cannot unearth what these deaths care. I don't understand why the dev would make finding these so hard as what's the point? the previous 2 reign games had some hard deaths to find, but they WERE findable...not one person I know of has gotten any of the 4 deaths I just mentioned.

Dev, if you are reading this - please help us out or patch the game so it's easier to get these deaths. some of us like to 100% games.

All of this leads me to believe that maybe the key to this death is to just keep drinking more and more wine from as many different events as you can, until Cersei becomes an alcoholic, her liver goes kaboom or something. A very cryptic, roundabout unlockable, if so.

great detail - and I believe you are correct on this thinking. I've also gotten the cards about speaking with a woman about your children that I thought might lead to something but never did, and also the speaking with the sand woman about pouring more wine. I wonder if it is glitched, as it seems the card you got 'I need more' (which I have never gotten) should activate the 'more wine' death. And as we have seen, a lot of things in the game have been bugged until recent updates by the devs. I am constantly playing as Cersi to try and get this as well, so i'll keep experimenting.

You said you got the 'shadowlands' death tho I see...can I ask who you played as? I've been trying constantly to get this one as well and ive been told by 2 people they got it as Jon Snow or Tyrion...but the cards never pop for me even if I purposely make bad decisions to make people think I'm a bad ruler.

I'm pretty sure I got The Shadowlands as Tyrion. At the time I wasn't even aiming for it, since I didn't know it was considered a rare death or anything.

Anyway, I believe it has nothing to do with behaving poorly. There's an event where your Master of Whisperers (it was Varys in my case) warns you about an assassination attempt against you in 3 moons.

Once those three days pass, you get an event that your valet has been killed by a manticore, after which your Master of Whisperers will suggest to pretend you have died and to lock you in a tower for a few days. You need to accept his plan and wait. Eventually, he'll come for you, although not to put you back in the throne, but to exile you to, well, the shadowlands.

awesome detail again - at least I know exactly what cards I'm looking for....I've literally never gotten the 'warn about an assassination attempt' though which is just deflating; especially since I've been playing a ton as tyrion too trying to get that specific death.

And to help you out with the character card, it's actually a location and it's pretty easy to get as long as you know which cards to pick....so since you already got 'the wight' card, you've encountered the box at the foot of your bed. When you open the box and the wight pops out, make sure to dodge right (swipe right) and you will dodge hit attack (I take it you went left and got killed). Once this happens you will revisit talking to the brother from the Wall who wanted you to come there in the first place (you must have said no, and make sure to do this again to activate the cards of the box again), and he'll confess he did it to show you how dire the situation is. You'll get a few cards talking about how you understand and he's as traitor, etc. But eventually you just need to choose 'yes' to go to the Wall and fight the wights. You'll get the travel mini-game and upon completion ask to see the Wall and you will get a card of you looking out at the vast wilderness on top of the wall. Then you get a pretty cool idea by the devs to survive winter in another way by selecting the right cards to defeat the walkers at the wall.

Hope this helps, but I'm fairly confident you'll get it no problem.

Thanks! I actually did that whole sequence up to the point where I need to look around from the top of the Wall, but I do remember seeing the option in one run and not picking it. I'll get around to that now.

Ah, and also, I just happened to get the Shadowlands death with Cersei as well. It plays out the same way I described it earlier. So if you want to, you can try to get it while experimenting with the wine stuff and such. Good luck.

I got shadowlands as Tyrion while trying to get Tyrion's Bliss (so hard, I can't get that death) and I was doing nothing particular to get cards about Shadowlands! :-)

Yeah, I think that's bugged. I've tried going back to the Wall with several characters, both with and without the "Wight Chest" event, and I never get the picture. Probably has something to do with the other bug you mentioned, which we all seem to have. The Wall update in general is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥, really.

What's the best way of contacting the devs so that they check this stuff in subsequent updates? Because I doubt they read a word from these long threads. It'd also be nice if they clarified the conditions for getting the More Wine death (again, if it's indeed not bugged) because when the entirety of the Internet hasn't figured it out after months it's pretty clear you went overboard with the crypticness.

As for Brienne, I found her in the final round of a tourney. I think the combatants for that are random, so it might take you a while to find her.

And some of characters don't reset parameters when winter is ended (very often I died right after defeating Winter because of faith or lack of gold...)

The game seems more buggy than before updates! (Wall bugs especially)

I can't get More Wine, Sad Revenge (Arya killing Jaime never showed up), Dragon Hunger (same) and Tyrion's Bliss (She said "you can visit us" -> Tyrion said "Us?" and nothing never happens even if I survive Winter !

About royal deeds, I can't fight with Winterfell and win a battle against them, I don't have met Brienne yet (Tournaments are hard) and I can't have last character (same than @LinkSword) !

I got Sad Revenge yesterday and Tyrion's Bliss the day before. For Tyrion, you can unlock it with Arya's "game of faces" event, just tell the woman "You're very pretty" at the end instead of "I hate myself" and Tyrion will die.

Anyway, I think I'll be passing on the game until the devs bother to address its issues. Seems kind of pointless to keep experimenting when the things I'm missing are either obviously bugged (Wall picture) or so cryptic the entirety of the Internet hasn't worked it out in months (More Wine).

It sucks to leave the achievements for this at 80%, but hopefully it'll be temporary, since from what I've read these devs did end up fixing their previous games.

You can got Tyrion's bliss if you lose Arya game (playing as Tyrion of course). Maybe it will help?

Okay, folks, so I got a very fast reply to my email from François Alliot. Really nice guy. I will quote his responses to the two main things I asked about, since I think they could help the community figure this out more quickly.

First, on the topic of More Wine:

"The death "More Wine" was indeed bugged until the last update, it should work now.
(...)
To get "more wine", you need to play as Cersei indeed. You need to have recruited the Handmaiden (she should appear from time to time, in Cersei's reign or others). Then when you see "More wine" (the tourney is a good starting point for that), do that. The handmaiden will then come back regularly with more wine, say yes every time."

So yeah, it seems we were on the right track with this one. What I did tell him, though, is that it's hard to survive with Cersei when Summer begins due to the stats not going back to ~50%, so living enough moons to get wine enough times is a pretty daunting task. But hey, at least now we know it works and the definitive method to do so, so maybe one of us will get it soon.

As for the Wall:

"The Wall should indeed stay on the screen, but because it's either supposed to lead to your death or to the battle with the walker (in which case it disappears). You're not supposed to escape either of these fate. (...)

I will check the missing portrait tile and update in consequence."

So, apparently, everything other than the Wall picture not showing up is intentional.



Anyway, it's really cool how responsive this dev is to feedback. This exchange made me even more interested in checking out their previous games.
