You usually have Archers, Infantry, Knights and Drogon/Dothraki or something similar. Just choose the next logical move.
Like when the try to attack you with their runners, stop them with your Archers or their Archers with your Dragon and so on.
It can be hard first, but then you'll learn how to interact with each situation.
For the specific interactions:
vs siege: Dragon, Wildlings
vs infantry (with archers lagging behind): Redguard (if you have them), Knights
vs archers: Archers
vs anything else: Infantry
And pay attention to the outcome of each exhange. If the summary of the specific interaction is that you have the upper hand, then "Press On". If it feels like you didn't fare so well, "Regroup"
