If it's garbage, why do you want to play it, thief?
Don't waste your time on 300 IQ folks like that. I wouldn't be surprised if the Devs are giving a few keys away to people to shill for their game and tell everyone how "amazing" it is, even though they abandoned it and trying to get a few extra bucks with a steam release.
Go ahead & look at my review, & see if I got the game for free/via key. I have no use for thieves, but by all means, you do you.
Edit: Also, I didn't defend the game, I simply denounced SHILLYSHALLY's stated intentions. But the fact is, I'm having fun playing this.
Congrats, you gave money to a dev that abandoned this EA game and brought it here for a quick cash grab.
I'm sure the devs are laughing at sheep like you, but like you say, "you do you"...
Where this game is concerned, doing me means having hella fun in a game I picked up for cheap. So yeah, I'm good w/ that.
Good for you, you have the right to support a garbage dev that abandoned their EA game, just like the other person has the right to not to support them.
You can keep repeating how "hella fun" the game is, the shilling won't work on me and most of the other folks.
D for effort though.
Imma quote myself from another thread:
"I think you hit the nail on the head w/ player expectations, nor. As I know I've mentioned elsewhere, I understand people expecting Early Access games to undergo heavy development, & it does sound as though features the devs had hoped to incorporate never made it into the game. But when you're talking small Indie dev teams, that's always a possibility. God knows, even larger teams often fail to deliver on that tip.
I'm enjoying this game immensely; I spent the first 30 or so days grinding out my cabin, & now I'm doing what I was waiting to do: Crafting a couple tents, filling my canteen, & heading out for a week at a time of exploration, fishing & gathering as I go. When it's time to head back, I spend a day or two puttering around the cabin, cooking, crafting, & brewing, then head back out again. (I'm letting the fox just lie there looking cute, so I don't have to feed him. ^^)
Many early adopters of the game seem to feel they were misled, & I'm not going to say that they weren't, as they may well have been. But if so, I don't think the devs intended that; the early development of this game shows far too much care having been taken for this to have been a simple "cash grab", as some are quick to claim. It may be that the dev team burned out; it may be that they encountered unforeseen difficulties that they weren't able to overcome. But whatever the case, it is what it is, & for what it's worth, I think they can take pride in what they managed to produce."

Post #128. Now, tell me again how I'm shilling.
You're defending the devs for giving up on the game and not wanting to add anymore content, even though it's still in EA when it came to Steam."It is what it is" isn't a great excuse for what they did. Judging by the rough reviews on Steam so far, it looks like the 'hella fun' people are in the minority.
You also ignore this portion of my comment altogether:
"Many early adopters of the game seem to feel they were misled, & I'm not going to say that they weren't, as they may well have been."
presumably because it doesn't fit your narrative that anyone who genuinely likes this game is some kind of shill, or whatever pejorative you're currently favoring.
Steam reviews aren't my concern. What concerns me, in part, is my money, & regarding my purchase of this game, I deem it well spent. Whether you agree or not doesn't concern me, either.
Yes, I read that part, once again you do not totally blame the devs, but go about it in the maybe they did/maybe they didnt way.
I'm not favoring anything or have any "narrative". People are letting others know about this abandoned game, you're the one defending it and getting your feelings hurt.
Now, go enjoy this finished "game" granny shill.
