It was abandoned when the last patch was released back in Nov. of last year.

Hopefully anyone will go forward with it. If I would more familiar with this , I would spend the time. It coujld be a good starting point am I right ?

Don't count on it, the devs took the Epic bribe, cashed in on Steam and left leaving the game unfinished. Just remember their names and never buy anything from them again and you'll be better off.

They even took down the official website for Among Trees (probably got tired of hearing people b*tching about a lack of updates plus just getting burned out dealing with a game they clearly were too ambitious about but didn't have the drive to see to full completion).

So yeah, it's abandoned. No "No Man's Sky" levels of redemption for this game.

No its just fully abandon. even on the epic version its fully abandon with the last update, with you guessed it back in nov of 2021

i do find it pretty shocking that this goes epic exlusive, gets a nice chunk of money because of that. epic fanboys say this way indie games can finish their games because they get cash infusion sent to them. seems its totally BS. i was really hoping for this game to get finished and yeah seems devs took the money from epic and put it to steam when exlusivity ended to milk more money at the same time abandoning it.

This is a horrendous money grab and it's sad too as the game was so nice and vibrant. It had so much potential.

Might be tricky as I have a hunch they'll abandon the FJRD name after this - not only the game's abandoned but all of FJRD's social media is entirely dead as well.

Better still, there's no names attached to the game: no credits in-game at all, not on the website, nothing. They've kept their names out of this pretty thoroughly.

I love this game! Its a shame if they've let it die :( They should consider letting someone take it over.
