There's been no announcement. The only thing that's been said is the reception of the original version in the west will determine whether or not we get Reflection Blue. Though there's some wiggle room in terms of interpretation, many have chosen to take it to mean how soon we get Reflection Blue, or whether or not we get it at all, will largely be determined by how well the original version sells. And if everyone holds off buying waiting for Reflection Blue... well...

Yea, I understand that. I just really hope that it doesn't get tossed on the pile of VNs that we'll never be able to (legally) read.

VNs are already a hugely niche genre of games, I think basing whether or not to translate and release it based on sales is kind of a mistake as the release of Summer Pockets on Steam is after the fact that Reflection Blue is in the works. Personally, I'd buy Summer Pockets twice, but I know plenty of VN, and even KEY fans that wouldn't. My biggest fear as a fan of VNs is NOT having the option to financially support a studio I love, so I guess I'm just a fanatic in that regard.

What I've always felt what needed to happen was a PR move early on where they would confirm if or when we get Reflection Blue, it will be a an expansion pack for the original on steam, rather than a fully featured separate game. But I'm wondering if they have the time or budget to recode it that way.

Anyhow, I bought the game with he assumption that it will at least take 2 years to get Reflection Blue, assuming we are getting it. Also, usually when a new game that contains an updated version of an old game gets released on steam, there is a discount for owners of the old version, which would effectively price it as an expansion pack even if they are unable to code it as one.

I think what we really need at this point is some kind of confirmation that a translation is being/will be worked on. To ease the finicky fans that haven't bought Summer Pockets yet. I really hope it gets an official translation, it really is an amazing visual novel, and I'm super excited to play the new routes.

My biggest concern is this, i remember when SP released and everyone was throwing a fit on the net about waiting until RB releases and complaining it wont come with RB (despite RB not being out at the time).
Point being, if many of these really did hold of getting it, they could of affected our odds of even seeing it at all.

Tis a shame,i get people want a complete edition but they missed out on a good game and potentially halted the odds of getting it's expansion... which in a round about way then makes their initial "protest" pointless as the game wont come then.

It will be out in the next month
RB isn't out yet. Official release date is June 26 for Japan. Anyway, worst case scenario you could always buy a Japanese version and use a fan translation patch instead

Just finished SP. So, to cure my post-vn-depression, please release it in the west. All the better with an OST-bundle.

I'm really hoping SP is like a dlc because I do not want to replay the story that i have already done

With Little Buster EX, at least, upon loading up the game it asks you if you want to set a clear flag for the main story so you can go straight to the new content.

Hopefully it will get released, but keep an eye on Alka translations, they did Angel beats recently and the translation was pretty great and wouldn't be surprised if they took it upon themselves to translate it!. Love key, c'mon rewrite!!!
Alka translations did confirm that they will translate RB if VA did not announce any plans for an English localisation.

Thats good news, I'll have to find a store I can purchase the Japanese version from.

I'm not even kidding when I say I want to know whether there will be an official Reflection Blue localization the most way more than anyone else in this thread.
