Can not start the game

Hello, i was playing summer pockets normally and suddenly my pc crashed. Now i, when a click on the game, my pc shows this message and closes the game. Anyone knows what is happening?

Hmm can't comment on the error but have you tried verifying the files? Could of corrupted one when it crashed. Verifiy the installation, if not try a re-install.

Looks like the save data got corrupted I think there is a way to rollback your save with steam cloud so you should look into that too. If not I would remove all the save data to another folder and see if that helps then try to add as much as you can back...

Thank you very much for all the replies, but i have already solved it. Indeed, the game thought that the save files were corrupted, but that was not the case. I copied my save files and the global.sav file, then I deleted the folder that contained the save files in "steam/common apps/summer pockets" and started a new game. Finally, i replaced those files in the game again and everything is ok now. I didn´t lose my progress and the game works fine.

hey guys, I can't start it up either and it seems i'm getting the same exact issue. I tried to copy my whole save file folder and pasted it into my documents. Then I deleted the original folder. When I started the game, it still gave the same message and the savedata folder like... reappeared in my summer pockets folder.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall but the issue is still going on. I could be misunderstanding what to do here, but I also copied my entire summer pockets folder and pasted it in my documents folder as a bad kind of backup because I'm stupid and don't wanna mess up so bad that I lose my save data. but yeah.... can i get some advice?

Oh, never mind found my solution. My folders kept reappearing because I had steam's cloud enabled so after I turned it off, it stopped repopulating. That's when I could follow the steps that manufarace used and now i'm up and running. thanks guys!

Were you able to recover the save files? wondering because if you were, it means both times just the config needed to be reset.

Try doing this

Right click game name in steam > properties > browse local files > savedata_en. Move/cut paste config.sav system.ini and window.ini into a back up folder. Run the game and see if it works, if not move the whole folder to a backup folder and run the game, these are important save files so try to add them back if it works or you won't have your save data. Don't overwrite any files if it asks you.
