Ao's Ending [MEGA Spoiler For Ao's Route]

So, i just played my first route through Ao's (so lets not spoil other routes please), i was generally happy all in all, hell i loved it but something really felt off as it got to the end

Ever since Ai awakens, and essentially Ao goes to sleep, i felt the quality drops, maybe because the route is missing its main character but Ai was boring, which is fine, she wasn't made to be much of a character anyways but i think the big issue i had was the end build up, Hairi returns home and all, i expected, everything goes as it should, he returns the following summer and with his partner in crime (Inrari) they set out to find Ao... and that's it? No really, that's it? Okay the post credits gave that small bit of Ao technically waking but Ao's awakening was the climax, right? why skip it into a short "good morning".

My issue i guess is i was really getting the feeling of a end with Hairi AND Ao together, that was very once sided was all. I would of been happy if there was a small conversation (we could skip over this if needed with basic nation text if they didn't want to get to into that) and maybe end with a small scene of them together at the beach or shop or even at the shrine? I think i feel a bit sad that despite how great the chemistry with these two was, the end cut them short to that scene.

As said, i as a whole loved her route, but i dunno, i just felt the big hype in me was lost on that, kind of sad with my first route and a good character like Ao. It didn't even give attention to Inari other than Hairi and Inari heading to find her memories, which whilst she woke up, it never really explained either. I possibly hoped for more because everytime anything happened in this route, i got supper hooked and could stop playing so i kind of expected the ending would be super satisfying or something like that and for me (personally at least), i guess it wasn't).

Good route but i feel that ending was sub-par at best.

Is this just the wailing of a man who expected too much or saw something more than the writers (or someone who just loves the ending build up) or did others feel a bit betrayed at that cut-short ending?

But otherwise, great route, 8.5/10 (maybe a 9).
PS - Inari is the best "fox" like creature thing and needs its own ending where i can hug it!!!
