I just "beated" or was "defeated" in Lucah born of a dream first playthrough and I am confused

So I got to the arena and defeated the purple girl that was fighting like crazy and the problem is I reached 100% darkness for the second time as I fought her, and once I defeated her the game ended... Kind of...

So my question is, can I get the good ending on the new game? How does it affect? This game is so damn ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ confusing, had I paid the amount of attention I paid to trying to understand what was going on with the story in college I wouldn't have dropped out.

You can't get the good ending in a default new game. You can only get a good ending in NG+. Don't worry too much about reaching 100%, pretty much everyone does! Just focus on practicing and trying out different combinations of mantras to see what works best for ya. Then when you've got a good thing going, try for the end. Good luck!!

Thanks for the info, I tried to beat the new game but once I reached the hollowed the game just turns impossible, there's no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way that ♥♥♥♥ is beatable, anyways decided to drop and leave with the little I go, thanks for replying thought.
