Unit Veterancy

Is there a possibility of adding unit veterancy? I love when your rewarded for persevering your units instead of just throwing them into the meat grinder. Would be even more practical cause from the demo resources are finite.

Resources are limited in most of RTS games : ) You can mine out. I was tinkering with idea of decrementing resource yield over time for both resources but I also dont want player to have to defend 10 resource points all the time. Unit veterancy - yeah i was tinkering with that idea too, but i am afraid it will be a snowball mechanic for multiplayer, especially 1vs1 matches. When you win engagement , not only you have standing army, but well 'trained' one at that, making bad situation for opponent even worse. Hard to come back from that.
