Definitely arcadish and well mapped to a gamepad. It's not the prettiest game in existence, but you're often looking at things from a considerable distance. There are a few missions set in interesting weather conditions that are very atmospheric in the VR cockpit.
There are a handful of encounters that are fairly demanding in terms of the amount of attacks you have to evade or opponents that feel like they're nearly impossible to hit if you haven't gotten a solid grasp on all the mechanics. They're mostly loaded to the latter half of the campaign. Missions don't have checkpoints and colliding with terrain or larger aircraft (regular fighters you can phase right through) is instant death, but the game is pretty forgiving outside of those aspects.
Thanks for that explanation.I was also going to get this from the Playstation Store a while back, but after reading many reviews saying the PS version only has some missions as VR , I decided not to get it. Now that got the PSVR2 PC adapter , I was also wondering if the Steam version was similar to the PS version. But you pretty much answered that. Thank You
