Railguns are Killing my VR Experience

Issue: So I've been playing through Project Wingman in VR recently, and I've been absolutely loving it! Unfortunately, railguns have been the bane of my playthrough. I have had very little lag or stuttering, but as soon as a railgun fires (and it's in my fov), my game turns to a slideshow. Usually this is just an annoyance: as soon as I destroy the railgun, the problem goes away. However, in boss fights like the SP3AR or in Kings, it becomes near impossible to play. However, I was able to beat FL59 entirely in VR with no problems. It's still a complete mystery to me how I managed to survive Eminent Domain lmao.
Lasers, flack, an missile bursts don't give me any problems, just railguns.

Current troubleshooting: For VR at least, I've dabbled in the graphics settings, but I'm not sure which specific settings would fix this railgun issue.

Specs: I'm playing with SteamVR and a Meta Quest 3 headset, and I'm using high-speed Ethernet connection for my computer. I'm playing on an MSI Cyborg 15 A13V, using an i7-13620H core, 16 gig of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 laptop GPU.

Is there any way to fix this issue?

That depends. Do you still want to play the DLC?

If yes, there's currently no Fix for it but, likely one being worked on.
If No, switch to the Fallback Branch.

@TheFrommie86 I already beat the entire DLC in VR with only minor issues from the railgun (i.e. I got good at destroying them before they could fire)

It is known by the Devs that since 2.0 the VR Performance is sub par at best, and they try to find solution but these may take a while.
