Good for you. It's broken on mine.
Have you tried verifying the integrity of the game files? Have you tried reinstalling? Are your video drivers up to date? I mean, I had framerate stuttering issues initially. Soon as I updated the video driver, zero issues since...
Finally got it to work by manually deleting all file folders in steam and AppData.
It's wonderful that it worked 100% for you and for a lot of other people. These crashing issues have not been isolated and using "it worked for a majority" doesn't help. Get off your high horse if you feel the need to be a prick, because chances are that's the extent of what you're being.
go to the local files and find the following
Manifest_DebugFiles_Win64 and Manifest_NonUFSFiles_Win64.
uninstall both of them then verify the local files
to everyone saying "just buy a new PC" these are actual bugs that seem to effect a few people while i am lucky not to have this one myself i know others who have and being snarky doesn't help anyone.
also join the discord if you have issues that's where you'll find the patch notes and get help with bug fixes.
if that doesn't work then youll need to ask the discord
It tracks with their prior record of never communicating, not delivering on promises and taking sony's money to ♥♥♥♥ over the community on a game that was kickstarted on the premise of "ace combat but for PC instead of console exclusive". Are you surprised? They don't care.
You also have a LOT of people who go 'well I don't know what's going on, but you are being unreasonable', which is idiocy of a different kind. Or even worse, the dogpilers whose sole existence seems to be to attempt to arbitrarily declare that past issues are irrelevant and should be ignored, and pretend nothing is wrong and never has been.
That so many devs just lean on a discord server instead of the tools available at point of sale just makes it VERY clear that they don't actually want user feedback. So they create a walled garden where they can see only what they want to.
For the 'age of information', we sure seem to have dropping intelligence and education levels across the board. Which is, unfortunately, backed up by research at this point.
Really feels to me like you folks are *only* into the whinging at this point, more so than you ever were into the game. So why are you still here?? If life sucks and you hate everything, you hate the devs and you're decrying the state of the game, why are you here yelling at everyone every day, ad-bloody-nauseam? Why aren't you off playing/doing something else? What's the end-game here? None of you are asking for refunds. Is your goal to put others off the game even if they enjoy it? Is the daily complaining as loud and vociferously as possible designed to somehow 'motivate' the devs-- you know, the devs who are more active on Discord than here? Or are you guys just in it for the complaining now? Because several people have tried to offer help in multiple threads and they hardly get a response. But mention the devs and a certain type here is up on their soapbox quicker than poo through a goose...
There is no 'help' to be offered. Because the problems aren't on the user end. The game is utterly busted, and it's not just 'a small handful' having issues, even aside that some issues are UNIVERSAL like the new cloud system being an unreasonable performance hog that often looks objectively WORSE than the old one.
People complain to try to counteract people like you who want to lie about there being nothing wrong, and to alert potential buyers of issues and red flags the game has, in hopes of triggering a course correction and getting things fixed. Going 'buh discord' is part of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problem, because Discord lets devs isolate themselves from any kind of feedback they don't want to hear in a way more public forums don't.
We don't hate the game. We want it to WORK PROPERLY and have the contents the dev repeatedly advertised as coming soon. It's disappointment, not hate. We wouldn't be here still if we didn't love the game and want to come back to it. But at the same time, things go unaddressed and the dev actively makes bad decisions, so we want those things to be solved, and for new players to go in KNOWING what they are getting into, instead of getting misled by yes-men who live in an alternate reality.
No, what people want is for the dev to FIX THE ♥♥♥♥ THEY BROKE. Things don't get fixed, if noone holds producers accountable for issues and everyone just mindlessly consumes.
People aren't upset because they 'hate the game'. They are upset because they KNOW it can be a lot better, yet the dev keeps fumbling the bag to such a degree it comes across as impossible to be anything but ACTIVELY choosing to screw things up on a technical level.
