In short: if you've ever played Ace Combat and liked it then yes - by all means get it.
This has nothing to do with Tom Clancys's H.A.W.X or the mess that was Ace Combat: Assault Horizon.
This game is one bona fide arcade action packed flight "sim" that's breathing Action and dripping Ace Combat. And i mean this only in the best of ways
Conquest is rough around the edges though. The campaign could easily be out of a AAA game, but Conquest is where the indie nature of the game really shows itself.
If you want to turn your brain off and just enjoy shooting stuff down and bombing everything, conquest is pretty darn respectable too. I'd definitely recommend it, I recently picked it up on sale myself and just finished the campaign today and it was definitely worth every cent. I honestly would have paid the asking price of an AC game on release and been satisfied if this was the product I got. More than I can say for Ace Combat 5 and 6 tbh.
