This game is horrible compared to Aces combat 7 in VR

It's not that bad. Plus setting up the VR mod in AC7 is confusing right now. No one has made a proper tutorial yet.

I have a proper tutorial and was able to get it running in like 20 min

Let me put it simply on what you need to do. What is throwing people off is the ~
Has to be these folders that look exactly like this ~mods and LogicMods
Go to nexusmods and download UE4SS
ACE7 specific build of UE4SS
Unzip archive UEVR Compatibility Mod.zip right into where the games EXE is located
Create folder ~mods in \ACE COMBAT 7\Game\Content\Paks" if that folder doesn't exist
Create folder "LogicMods" and "LogicMods" in "\ACE COMBAT 7\Game\Content\Paks" if these folders doesn't exist
Copy and paste this file ~~~UEVR_Compatibility_Mod_P.pak \ACE COMBAT 7\Game\Content\Paks~mods
Copy/move "UEVR.pak" from unpacked archive to "\ACE COMBAT 7\Game\Content\Paks\LogicMods" or "\ACE COMBAT 7\Game\Content\Paks\LogicMods"

For those of us that have played most if not all the Ace Combat game including Air Combat this isn't that bad. I can't put it up there as the best game but it really feel like it has that Ace Combat 5-Zero which I personally really like. I agree that 7 being the latest is very very good and this can't hold a candle to for story, the type of planes that it has, and the graphics are better, but if you want that Ace Combat itch to scratch you could do a lot worse.

Project Wingman is a really good game for beginners who have a tougher time with flight controls. Most of the complaints with AC7 come from certain gameplay segments like tunnel runs. PW doesn't have any obstacles like that. It just lets you blow **** up.

I'm gonna have to wait until I get a new PC and a new VR headset along with getting back my HOTAS. Hopefully by that time, the mod will be fully completed or at least super optimized. Very excited to try out VR for AC7 as it's been on my to-do list for a while now.

I mean, I've not played AC7 in VR (I've played and completed it multiple times on ps5) buttttt it doesn't have native VR support on PC so gonna have to give Wingman the W on this one. that being said...VR in wingman is a little finicky, but again, at least i'm not having to deal with mods in the first place (not new to mods, but again, native vs mod support)

Tbh, the mod doesn't look that hard to install in the first place and not everyone wants to play through the campaign of PW in VR. It was fun to go through one time but a lot of the missions overstay their welcome in that game.

It's pretty impressive that the modding scene for AC7 is still going strong too.

Wingman's performance is horrible in VR compared to the UEVR mod in ac7. I was impressed with wingman at first then something felt really off with the flight model in vr it was almost like the plane was in space floating and also flying low to the ground felt like 30 mph compared to ac7. The clouds in vr in ac7 with uevr mod are as good as DCS on ultra quality. I'm for real. It is spectacular. I even got wingman on sale for 12 bucks and refunded it to get AC7 for $5.99.

Lol, PW's performance is bad in general, tbh. You need a beefy PC to run it at the highest settings where as AC7, I can run it easily on the max settings with my 10 year old PC. What takes up all the resources are the damn clouds. Anything below ultra and the clouds look like Minecraft or Roblox.

sounds like a hardware issue if youre getting bad perf in PW vr. PW's gameplay alone blows AC7 out of the water

Nope, the game is just badly optimized. Not everyone has the best gaming PC in the world.
