Yeah, right. They (and by "they" we mean RB-D2, since he's the one who makes the game) have announced 1.5 more than two(!) years ago, and till this day, even in beta branch there is only a tiny fraction of what was promissed has been actually implemented.
Instead we have a new effects (particles, lighting, clouds) no one asked for (which halves the performance with no substantial visual impact), half-baked XBOX ONE port (which I guess was soley dumped to cash-in on a GamePass deal) and PS5 port with an exclusive PSVR2 content (which you can guess why exists). And all that with almost a complete radio silence and zero feedback from the dev himself.
So I woldn't hold my breath for any meaningful updates, let alone the sequel. It seems that RB-D2 has punched way too above his weight for his own good and either nor interested any more or not able to meet the community needs. Regardless, I'm not going to support any of his further projects - no kickstarter, no pre-orders, no buy on launch, it's either a complete bug-free experience that meets the promisses made, or a discount buy at best.
He's a big boy and free treat his creation any way he wants without considering anyone's opinion, but the fans who had their heads walked over are also free to decide how to treat him in return.
What angers me is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piss poor communication
