My hopium is pretty nonexistant at this point, but it feels like a huge leap to say this is a sell out move. As soon as I know if we're getting an update to the original game including this as a secondary campaign, we're getting a free update and he's selling a side campaign, or there is no update and he's selling a side campaign, (or some other possibility) then I can pass judgement.
Read the description yourself: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/concept/10000702
As you can see, Frontline 59 is more or less a port of the original game but with six new missions, which can be played without a PSVR2. Whether or not those six missions will be ported to the PC is another story.
Why are you making sh*t up?
-Vague future tense talk of new planes and conquest content
-Patch notes confirm no new planes/missions/or conquest stuff(other than tweaks)
This post is less encouraging than you think it is.
At the very least it confirms the 1.5v update, so maybe in another three years we'll get the 2.0 update kekw
I'm pretty sure the 1.5 update(back when it was announced) was originally supposed to include new planes, so... meh.
I think they alluded to it there as well, but I'll take what I can get right now. Just glad to see the game hasn't become abandonware like I'd thought.
Via RB and FAN respectively.
Additionally, beta branch patchnotes for 2.0 highlights:
TrackIR support
New clouds
Buff to bombs (ammo counts(doubled for larges), radii(doubled across the board), and bomb pip turns red if an enemy is inside it)
Buffs to Hitman 2/3's AI
NEXT indicator for target selection
Cannon fire doesn't get blocked by destroyed targets as ridiculously, Should only be direct hits now.
A good bit of conquest stuff as well. Seemingly out of bounds enemies are fixed, bloom issues, and some performance improvements.
So straight from the horses mouth then? It's going to be exclusive to the Playstation, so long as nothing changes... Great. Yeah that really feels super awesome.
It'll change if we PC players demand that Sector D2 doesn't leave us in the dust all because they decided to sell out to Sony. It's great that they're back but they can't be allowed to forget who the ♥♥♥♥ put them on the map to begin with.
You're way too optimistic. What exactly can we do other than whine and complain? I've already bought the game, I can't really "vote with my wallet" so to speak any more...
They have a discord server.
