Project Wingman or ACE COMBAT™ 7: SKIES UNKNOWN?

witch one do you recommend? I want to play an arcade video game, not simulator

These two games you are mentioning are arcade.

So, it depends on you wich you estimate more convenient.

Proyect wingman offers you 21 missions with a limited amount of aircraft and a conquer mode, these aircraft have a variety of weapons to choose. The most important is, the ADA module: instead of flares, make an aereal drift like a fast & furius movie.

Ace combat 7 is the fans relic that offers you 21 missions with a lot of aircrafts but with only 3 weapons to choose depending on the aircraft and you will need in-game money to unlock them. Has a charming history and an online mode to fight other players, and a lot of DLC's that you could buy to unlock an special aircraft.

Both games are quite similar and REALLY good. Which one you like most comes down purely to personal preference.

Ac7 is a higher budget game and has overall a lot more stuff: more planes, more missions, more diverse Secondary Weapons and so on. It also has better performance imo. I reccomend you start with Ac7 if you never played games like these before.

PW on the other hand has quite a lot of charm with its characters and a more flexible weapon system which lets you carry up to 4 different weapon types at a time. It also has a different approach to difficulty (adding more enemies instead of decreasing your health like in Ac7).

Overall both are good choices, but i feel Ac7 is a better choice if youre a begginer

Keep in mind that if you play with a HOTAS, in Ace Combat 7 you can't remap the keys.

You can, you just can't do it from in-game.

I personally felt like PW was more balanced enemy wise and had better combat over AC7. AC7 does have better maps and music (although PW does have a pretty awesome soundtrack itself). Also enjoyed PW's plot more than AC7 as it is more consistent and sensible.

There are those small moments in Project Wingman when it feels more like Ace Combat than Ace Combat 7 does.

Ace Combat 7 is overrated as all hell as an Ace Combat mission way too much ground attacks. It may not be the unholy trinity levels of bad that got the series iced for a long time but it's definitely disssapointing and a let down to me in the meh category of AC games history.

0 and 6 are good though. They didn't sell well but that doesn't make them bad. They're good.
Won't argue that AH isn't bad but 0 and 6 are nice.

PW supports VR, AC7 doesn't (on PC) at all. And PW also has conquest mode, which will keep you entertained after finishing the campaign, while in AC7 you only get to grind the campaign missions for rankings. They're a bit of two halves of what could be the dream arcade flight game. Both are arcadey, but what one lacks in ambition the other lacks on budget and production value.

AC7 is prettier, but the overarching story becomes pure nonsense towards the end. I find PW is the more satisfying product, while AC7 is like high end junk food. Pretty and fun but ultimately pretty disposable.
