Runway take off and land?

Is there take off and landing on runways in this game anyone know?

Yes, the campaign includes one take off and landing from each location you deploy from, removing repeated sequences from later levels launched at/returning to the same base.

The physics are just as arcadey as the rest of the gameplay, so don't expect a lot of depth.

I mean so is this game worth it? Is it a good Jet simulator? Is Ace Combat 7 better?

Take off and landing is only scipted in some missions same as it is in AC7. You can control plane in this process , but it is like mini game before the missions start. You are able skip it. Landing gear is operate automatically in this "mini game".
You can't operate landing gear manually so you can't land where you want or when you want.
Project wingman and AC7 are not simulator. Both games are arcade flight game. Both game are very similar. Which one is better is about personal preference. I enjoyed both. Personally i prefer PW a little bit more.

Welp it's not a simulator, there's really not much excitement in "Max your throttle and pull your nose up after a few seconds" and "Get your nose just below the horizon and start bleeding off all your speed".

The excitement here, IMO, is "I'm going to stay committed to this strafing run and put off defeating that missile fired at me until the last second, because I took the CHAD super maneuverability loadout instead of flares."

If you looking for some modern combat air simulator the flaming cliffs 3 module (DLC) in DCS world include several old school sim style plane (SU27, SU33, F15, F10A, Su25, Mig29). In this planes you don't need press 15-20 buttons just to start up , so this planes are pretty easy to learn to fly compared with other full fidelity planes in DCS. However compared with war thunder in this game is recommended joystick. You will not by effective enough only with mouse + KB.

Yea nah I'm good on DSC. Everytime I try that game they want $80 for 1 jet that is way to complicated to learn how to fly. I'll probably just try this game. Ace Combat 7 looks good but almost too arcady for me. I just wish this game had take off and manual landing.

This game is no less arcade-y than ace combat, and the takeoff/landing is the same, you can do it in certain missions. Ac7 also has areal refuelling while pw doesnt
