Best plane/tactic for last mission(mercenary difficulty)

I found crimson 1 to be quite a difficulty cliff compared to all other missions but apparently dropping from the pw mk1 to the sp34r makes the boss not as agile? In any case heres what has happened so far.

PW-MK1: I have a lot of problems running into the boss when he does the laser attack which ends up doing 20 damage to my plane or i just die in the last phase as i get impaled from 6 damage railguns that are everywhere. Close range burst missiles are enough to take 60% of the boss health away. I have also a lot of trouble dealing with the 4 planes that spawn with the boss.

SP34R: Great damage per second to the boss with canister round but i cant seem to dodge out of the way of the cluster bombs or get close enough to it to use MGs in the last phase so i was down to just the railgun and promptly died.

Is there a way to toggle the "lock on target" which would at least give me some awareness, or am i supposed to dodge out of the way of cluster bombs just with the radar?

Lastly oh my god this is such a great boss, cant believe how much of an improvement its over Mrx/ drones in AC7, dialogue is top notch too and im still not bored of crimsons speech

You can cheese final boss with P.W. and AOA.

For other missions, Chengdu plane thingy or F-15 (S edition) works too. Oh, bring flares and MGP as well.

Almost forgot. For SP34R boss and Cold War mission, bring Harrier with MGC and CGP. Very good plane to melt any enemies with cheesed health.

You can lock the camera to your target by holding the change target button (Y).

He's still gonna mock you with "Predictable." regardless which mission you died as long as he's involved though, so yeah.

Last time he beat me like 10x in a row in Merc difficulty, my laptop ragequits and crashed my driver lmao

Theres way too much emotion when losing after 12 minutes for predictable to even be registered.

Crashing the video driver of a laptop is indeeed impressive tho
