So yes, it's a very good game for AC fans, and it's really cheap.
Everything I enjoyed about Ace Combat is present in Project Wingman: the fictional nations, the dialogue and chatter during missions, an abundance of targets, and a bumping soundtrack make this an excellent choice; the low price tag makes this an easy pick of fans of Ace Combat.
If you played the older AC games, this plays a lot like them, sort of a mix of AC04 and AC7.
The story is solid, almost as good as the PS2 era AC titles.
Where it goes above and beyond AC though, are things like wingman banter, and the fact you have a WSO that actually speaks in two seaters.
If you enjoy AC, you'll enjoy PW, and it's more than worth it at the price point it's at.

Increase your cockpit sway to max, modify your FOV with ingame options well above 100, and it just works.
