"Xbox Game Pass for PC."
The game isn't on console, It's on game pass for PC.
Note: This is for the PC Microsoft Store version, not a console version. Project Wingman was released 2 days ago on said store.
I'm not sure if the gamepass version is stripped down, it's weird that it's smaller but maybe the installation is compressed in some way? I don't know how the delivery system of gamepass/windows store works other than at some level it's probably making an appxupload. But for now it definitely doesn't seem to have a way to launch into vr which may just be a matter of command line parameters or something.
It could be indeed a question of command line parameters for Project Wingman.
Also apparently the an entire game mode is missing. as well as seemingly missing or downgraded textures across the board. this along with some file compression account for the file size compression as well as the seeming lack of updates to the steam version.
My best guess is that we can expect to see a project wingman release on Xbox sometime later this year, probably around the end of October or some time in November.
