About Crimson 1 (Last/Final Boss)
All action/story of Final boss [Crimson 1] in game still unpredictable and too difficult to understand. My first impression for Crimson 1 before final fight is Crimson 1 have an obsession to defeat Monarch/player. But after Crimson 1 destroy entire city/map, military, and civilians inside, I just have a question : "Is Crimson 1 destroy anything just to duel with Monarch/player?"

A minute before Crimson 1 exploded in air, I just hear last word from Crimson 1 : "If you hear lighting/thunder or storm, remember me...".

-_-"
And that time I just say :
"After you destroy anything here and want me die, you want me to remembered you?"

C1 sucks. I was interested in Crimson Squadron at the start but after the EVENT he just becomes laughable and insane. Keeps trying to blame you for the cordium nukes and calling you a blood hungry wolf, except... oh look here he comes, blowing a city up during an evacuation and a ceasefire... Makes no sense. Dumb.

The main character and his team is a Merc / PMC, contract is contract, heartless, slay everything for money.

In the eyes of MC team, they work for money first time then they start to "thinking". That why the guy in team also ask "If we fight for the right side", then after that become angry shouting Crimson team to shut up because they know they fought for the wrong side or are they the real bad guys in this war even they only work for money, not for peace.

In the eyes of Crimson team they look in other way, They think they are fight for freedom, for country, for peace then a bunch of bad guys come in and destroy everything. They are the best of the best but then they meet the MC. The MC didn't run away (If you stay back and fight them in that mission) then Crimson team scare. Then MC keep blown everything up alone, destroy his team. Crimson TL become crazy, angry, he forgot what he fight for, he lost everything so he blown everything then blame MC did it, not him.

In the end, War, War Never Change.

Like Mi-Hai in ACE 7, he is old, his only freedom is flying on the sky. He destroy everything on the sky, become the master of the sky. Then MC Trigger show up, fly back-ward, fly post stall, fly rolling around like nobody on that planet. Kick Mi-Hai butt, then UAV, then his own team (Trigger), then his own country (Trigger), fk everyone.

In the end, nobody fking remember Trigger even he carry the whole war. For peace. The whole war carry by a webu plane Mig-21.

But in this game is in another way. Crimson TL want to be remember as a ♥♥♥ person, cheating plane, break the peace, murderer, fearful like Thunder/Storm. So he fk up everything then blame the MC rather than fight fairly like Mi-Hai ACE 7.

Crimson 1 in nutshell - "lets copy Yellow 13! he was a cool boss with interesting story! *first few encounters issue* no wait, lets add a twist like in AC7! it was cool right? *get him that data intensifies* no wait wait - good AC games had this mano on mano boss fights against superplane boss with some deep story! What? we forgot to add any kind of story or motivation to the boss? Lets slap some generic "you are the bad guys!" talk and eh lets force it anyway!"

And boy oh boy do they love copypasta "war 15 years" - what war? AC5 one? but we are playing PW and in PW just so happen there is ZERO mentions of it aside from Kaiser being "self-proclaimed war hero". All we have on Crimson 1 is that he is a fed fanatic. that it. All we have on Monarch is a list of operations which are not mentioined anywhere in the game and "you are mistaken, we call him that for a reason". Which makes last boss rushed, forced mess.

Oh yes and also Monarch is a cascadian who may or may not be interesting in something something to fix something something happend some time ago somewhere in cascadi which forced or not forced him to accompany his firends or not friends who may or may not need this something something to fix something something to clean their names of something or not. - such deep plot.

So no, dont try to add some "deep" meaning to dialogs - its useless. Author of this just got loast among the way and instead of having one solid story ended up trashing around.

edit. also Monarch is a Monarch from venture brothers - game doesnt state otherwise so might as well just roll with it.

Name me one not completely idiotic AC antagonist, they all destroy their world to „proof“ something.

Abyssal Dision and Rena Hirose, Yellow 13 etc. Not all antagonists in AC series are idiotic or want to destroy world. now if we talk about end game bosses - that would be difficult) though
Larry Foulke for example is not really idiotic, just idealistic, nor trying to destroy the world - V2 strike would actually pause and reset belkan war. Markov also not idiotic not want to destroy the world - he wants his revenge.

When I picture Crimson 1 in my head I think of some old timey villain in a black cape and top hat who ties people to railway tracks while twirling his moustache.

True enough. Feel like we would need to change his voicelines to be a bit more comical to bring any character to him.

Thanks for spoilering, couldn't you have at least put "[Spoilers]" in front of your title?

Honestly im also confused as well. Seems like evrything he said doesn't make any sense. Who tf blow up the entire continent and plunge it into hell? Who killed those guys during the cease fire? and somehow they blame me? What for? Helping a rebel win their independence?

His motivation doesn't make any sense for me. Feels like he's a bad guy for the sake of being a bad guy. and wth happened to the rest of the Sicario? All dead? And what's the thing promised in the contract if we help Cascadia?

Idk, the ending suck. it doesn't feels satisfying. fighting the last boss doesn't feel satisfying. And before someone say "uh oh its the point, it want to tell you that war is pointless yada yada" No, it can be done better. it can be wrapped up better without losing that point.

remember that mission where you need to destroy prototype for the first time? Guess what - welcome to Belkan shenanigans. basically there is a 3d power with enough influence to force feds to do what they want and said power (Grunder industries wants to know your location) used their influence to "motivate young federation officers" to "liberate" Cascadia from evil regime opposing their bright vision of the new united world only which can oppose dark future ahead. But evil evil Monarch with his band of alcoholic exiles ruined it by literally killing everything and everyone (remember that guy in a yacht? shame.) - story probably was supposed to go like that except its literally absent from final version and all we have is tons of references to AC titles which are just here but never used.

Crimson 1 is a male Karen, just with excessive firepower and a bit more eloquence.
boris.glevrk Dec 6, 2020 @ 6:35am
From what I understand:
Crimson 1 is a Federal patriot. Or maybe I should say ultranationalist.
He fight for the Federation, and for what he considers the best outcome for Cascadia, which is staying as a vassal of the Federation.
He couldn't understand the uprising, he couldn't understand that Cascadians want freedom. So to him, this whole Independence Force thing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, just a foreign power inciting unrest within the Federation.
And so he is furious about the harm done to the Cascadian people because of this war, and here's the thing, he blames that to the revolution, to the independence movement, and finally, to Monarch, the super ace who single-handedly turned the tide.
