PLEASE update the Night Maps in Conquest
https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1645466586268728574/21ADB6906FE6F038451EFF52C3C0AE61685CA4F1/

How am i supposed to actually see something here? Kepp in mind that there are dozens of Aircraft and Airships (Friend and Foe) in this Screen and i cant even see my own. Also its that one map that has very thick clouds that almost go to the Ground.

I dont mind Night Missions as long as i can actually see somethin. This is the 2nd Time i got this Map in Conquest and barely a Mminute later after i have taken the Screenshot i was killed ... by crashing into a enemy Airship.

Please give us some Light Source or something like a Night Vision, otherwise this map is a pain in the butt.

And another round, again crashed in that Map. For that kind of fast paced Game the View is important.

I second this. A general brightening of night maps (particularly where it's cloudy) as well as a minimum cloud base of a couple of thousand feet would be welcome too.

Yeah that would be nice to have, or at least toned down a bit. I mean the Map Design is good as far as i can see, its just some constellations are a bit over the top.

I would like to get more visibility on night maps and evening maps even, both conquest and campaign, especially on ground attack missions or the mission close to ground.

Try to learn to fly with HUD i.e. IFR.
Most of the conquest maps are air battle and as long as you monitor your altitude and attitude properly, you should be fine.

I should clarify my suggestion for the minimum altitude for the cloud base. I'd prefer the clouds to be at least several thousand feet above ground level. There should be a clear gap beneath the clouds and above the ground that the player can fly through rather than cloud being so low that there's a risk the player might not see the ground until it's too late to pull up.

IFR, mate.
When you're flying in the clouds make sure you descent shallowly,or maybe only choose not-clouded places to go under the cloud, then navigate your way below it, only to rise up shallowly into the clouds when the terrain doesn't allow so.

Plus what's the point of flying below clouds in conquest anyway? Battles happen in 20000ft+, sometimes as high as 40000 ft.

Why you need to do it? Well there is a single Mission Type where you need to go down sadly and then the whole "So many Clouds" Problem happens. Its called "Air Defense Suppression" and well ... you need to destroy Ground Targets for that. And on that specific Map like on my Screen its REALLY hard even with the Altimeter to see something if A) Its Night B) LOTS of Clouds. More then once i barely scraped by a Mountain and that was from max Distance with STDMs.

Also since you said its no problem because if you look on the HUD ... eh ... yeah ... about that. Try fighting multiple Airships (be it your own or Enemy) + Random Fighters + End of Stage Squadron AND multiple already destroyed Airships to keep track of what is going on in the Screen if ... its ... pitch ... Black. That Screen i made wasnt a Joke, i got to it already a 3rd Time and barely managed to survive it. The other 2 Times i crashed in a FALLING Airship. You could say "hey why not fly up?" well that would work until you need to fly back since most of the Time if you got Airships in your Fleet Randoms or Aces tend to roll around your very own.

Again i have nothing against Night Maps, but PW is fast paced already and pitch black screen doesnt really help. A Single Light Source like a Moon or basic Night Vision would help and thats all.

IFR? You mean TFR? I don't think that exists in Project Wingman (if it does, I'm not aware of it). I fly in external-view mode, so being able to tell the ground from the sky visually is important.

I sometimes like to fly nap-of-the-earth on SEAD strikes with MLAGs and STDMs to terrain mask against SAM sites while running away from hostile CAP.

Funny i passed the near-blind pitch black map but always, in Conquest, i died because i slammed into the larger aircraft, which is an instant death collision. Always. So far never because of getting shot down.

Yeah thats what causes 90% of my Deaths in Conquest. Big Airship Fleet + Dark Map = Death

They could add a night vision mode toggle.
Karl 2021 年 1 月 23 日 上午 7:49
Having the same issue. I remember night vision in Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X 2, it would be really cool if they added it to Project Wingman. It would contribute to the atmosphere of the mission as well.
