Used a cheaper link cable... didn't start SteamVR.. went to game in my library.. pressed play.. Set it to Oculus VR .. made settings HIGH and FOV to 90... ran very smooth... and was fun.. nice experience.. 8700K cpu and 1070 GPU.. nice setup without busting the bank!

I get 45 fps on render scale 1.0 with quest 2. I really wonder how people can play this is VR.
It is playable at 45 frames but I see people getting more.
I tried VD and Cable, both work, but can't fix the framerate issues.

I was trying to find out if it was only me having performance issues using an Oculus headset.

I was getting similar performance of 45 fps with a 2080 Super and 6700k on Quest 2, unless I bump everything to the lowest settings, and even then it tends to dip below 90.
There were also issue with objects rendering in only one eye and not the other.
No issues on pancake.

Hopefully performance will improve with post-release patches, if so, then I’ll likely rebuy the game.

Set at "HIGH" settings.. I have it set to 144FPS ... but 2D gives me 115-135 FPS and in VR it defaults to 45FPS (at least the mirror on monitor) at 3264x1664 resolution(per ingame stats) and it feels smooth as silk... I can't see how people "can't" play this at 45.... the proof is in the video.. if it really is 45FPS while I am playing.. I have no issues at all with 45... feels very good to me... no burps.. no lags.. is your in game resolution 3264x1664 also? Since last update V23.. the only thing in my Debug tool is Encode Bitrate at 500.. are you launching SteamVR or Oculus VR?

BTW..I turned on performance HUD in Debug tool.. and although the game loads and runs at 90hz at start..soon as I start a mission it drops in half to 45hz and stays there... and to "me"..has no issues playing it there.. I also went to 150% resolution, which obviously gave more clarity but also received the 25FPS as well.. it seems if you can't maintain 90 you fall to 45 if not 45 you fall to 25... with a 1070 GPU.. I am more than happy with the 100% Resolution and 45FPS for this single player...

Did you have any issues with hotas sensitivity in VR? If so, how did you correct it? I use an HP Reverb G2 and while the graphic is smooth and looks great, any tiny twitch on the joystick send the plane into a barrel roll. I learned to adapt but laying down accurate gunfire is next to impossible. This problem doesn't seem to exists when I play on monitor.

Do to the Arcade game type..I use a 360 wired controller with this title.. and had no issues.. I have a CH Yoke and X52 Pro setup with rudder pedals..just never thought to use them with this one..

I don't know about you Fellas and Gallas ... but if this is what a 45FPS game of this type feels like in VR.. I am all in... maybe in MP it might make a difference.. but here.. for this Arcade game.. in single player.. it feels and looks great... I don't know what witchery or trickery they are pulling.. but the proof is in the videos...

how you get in vr mode. when i launch it normally, or with steam vr or oculus vr it just launches it normally like desktop liker im not using a vr. i have looked everywhere and cant find an answer
