If a flight sim/game supports vr headset, it's a VR game for me.

"The VR mode for this game requires the use of a gamepad or a keyboard and mouse."

Personally, not interested in fumbling around with VR controllers when a physical joystick/HOTAS is far more intuitive and immersive.
VR means you are IN the enviroment which you are regardless of which controls so its definitely VR.
VTOL VR IS a real fully VR game...sorry guys...have fun behind your screens but in 2k20 VR is here...try it but with fully VR games (XPLANE, VTOL...)
VR Gamer are the Vegans of Gaming.
Why would you ever use VR controllers for a VR flight game? VR controllers are for casual gimmick games and room-scale faffing around. Flight games use VR designed to be used while seated.
I own VR headsets since 2013 and i played many very good VR games without the need of VR conrollers. So calm down please...
Dudeman, are ya ignorant about VR, Combat flight games, or both?
Yeah take the money out of those who want to support VR to get VR bigger!

Big brain time.

Its called a HOTAS. Especially for an arcade game that does not require flipping of switches. Are you even serious?

I'd rather deal with a vegan than a VR gamer...

I'd leave that complaint for the next generation of VR when there are some dummy sticks/throttles that meshes well with full finger tracking.

For now, being able to use your head to track enemies is enough VR to be VR, like fully tilting up to look at passing targets or being upside down and looking at the ground .
OP was pretty abrasive, but it's a valid criticism.

AC7 didn't have that many hotkeys for gamepad users, and AC7 is clearly what this game is emulating. I'm fairly certain they could translate those controls to VR controllers. While VR controllers aren't the optimal way to play flightsims, they should still be supported.

I´ve played some VR games.
Of course, i would love to see this game with controller support, like Vtol VR or Flying Aces - Navy Pilot Simulator.
Anyways, if can be played fine with a gamepad is good enough...
It would be a valid criticism if it wasn't spelled out on the store page that the VR is only perspective/camera control, not controller inputs. OP is just blind.

VTOL VR is trash without the HOTAS support...and X plane is trash without HOTAS or yoke assembly as well. Dont get me wrong it was a cool idea, but its an idea that flopped. Very few people prefer the VR controllers to an actual HOTAS.
