(I’d like to remind you that I’ve always supported Deadside because I genuinely care about the game and truly want it to succeed.)
1) Sorry, but I have to bring this up again because it’s the WORST issue in the game right now: the beds need to be reduced. Example: a maximum of 5, with a 10-15 minute cooldown, and a 300-meter distance from each settlement.
2) Items, boxes, beds, etc., that are inside the base should not be visible from the outside in any way. Also, be careful with long-range scopes—if you’re far away, the base becomes transparent, and you can see how it’s built.
3) Allow the removal of any structure in your base using the hammer (if it’s an older structure, make it take longer to remove to avoid any kind of advantage).
4) Increase the amount of items required to craft explosives, dynamite, and C4.
5) Make different weapons and items give different amounts of metal when dismantled.
6) Finally, and I think there’s no time left for this idea, unfortunately... Change the way traders level up. Using metal doesn’t make sense; it clashes with progression. Also, adjust the values of valuables—some should be more expensive and rarer. Quick example: if we had a lion item, it would make us want to return to the base to sell it for its price (ideally adding other types of valuables to bring variety, allowing some to be sold and others to be used for leveling up traders).
Thank you, devs, for your hard work. As I’ve always said since the alpha, you’ve made an amazing game. It was one of the survivals with the most players at its peak (which is impressive since it’s a genre that wasn’t trending). I hope version 1.0 is a success. Best regards!
its called the "death marker of shame"
I like the survival aspect. I'm an obsessively efficient scavenger. Devs, please, please can you make finding dead bodies in the field slightly easier to locate. The flies noise only seems to load when you are very near and then it becomes louder and easy to hear further away. Often you can't see them until you are on top of them. I usually have to retreat 200m until the vegetation un-renders and use my scope to locate bodies I know are there.
Now that converting weapons into base materials is a thing, this is even more necessary.
