Server issues

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing issues on my G-Portal rented server, notably :
- Unable to connect to the server
- Server not showing up in the server browser
- Rubber-banding
- Disconnects

After contacting G-Portal, they've said nothing seemed off on their end, so I kept looking.

After further research, I found out that when this issue occurs, the server repeatedly sends the same "error" message in the console, for example :

 [125]LogNetPlayerMovement: Warning: ServerMove: TimeStamp expired: 62.235813, CurrentTimeStamp: 240.799133, Character: Character_man_01_C_2147468353 [2021.06.30-19.09.09:415] 

After a few players left, the server immediately returned to functioning correctly.

I'm starting to be out of ideas. The last thing G-Portal can do is change the machine the server is running on.

Is anyone else encountering a similar issue or has figured the cause of these issues?

Can you please send the full server log to [e-mail]? Please include the link to this thread and your Steam nickname to the message.

Also, please specify, have you tried rebooting the server from the G-Portal admin panel? Has it helped?

I will send what you've asked to the email address you mention.

I have tried to reboot the server multiple times, and the server had troubles coming back online.

I have tried turning down the base expiration delay (I had it set to 15 days, and I now set it to 7 days). So far, it seems it had a positive effect on the issues I encountered. Though, I haven't got to play much lately, so I should know if it did have an effect or not through the next few days.

There are no issues found in your logs - players were able to join and play at it.

Like I said, I tried to turn down the expiration delay for player bases. This seems to have a positive impact on the issues I've encountered.

I now experience a single player position rollback once every 30/60 mins, but it isn't big of an issue.

I cannot speculate as to what exactly causes this issue. I should try turning the said option back up to see if issues reappear.

If so, I'll update this discussion.

There's no exact tip we can give you based on your logs right now. We, on our side, are working hard on game polishing and improvement, as well as the servers themself. In the nearest future, we are going to implement the update on the servers, designed to reduce ping and improve your gaming experience. Please note that at the moment the game is in the early access stage, so some players may face different bugs and other issues.
