Create Servers

Good afternoon, could you release the servers for the community, host our own servers?

In their apparent infinite wisdom and lack of liking money, they refuse to enable private servers. Steam charts say it all. https://steamcharts.com/app/895400#All

Silly really since they have it all done. If G-portal can make a server, players would only need the exact files available to do the same on their own machines. Most likely they made contract with G-Portal that will not allow them to release for specified period of time to allow G-Portal to do their money grab.

I used to use G-Portal until I bought my own server machine. Every server I create on it has better performance for me and my friends than any game I created on G-Portal. Silly to give my money to a company when I have a perfectly good server sitting here that is used for nothing but game servers.

probably not or he have a very bad performance server. Well, if i am you i refunded. And make sure never more buy any game that things rentented companies offears acceptable multiplayer servers.

No because I do not rent servers anymore when I have a great machine that I can create my own servers on. If they ever release the files they provide to g-portal to everyone, I will make my server and play.

Is it me, or did a dev post admitting they don't plan to release dedi server files disappear?

this is still literally the #1 reason deadside is.... deadgame....
devs think they are making more $$ by having deals with gameserver hosts, but in fact theyre loosing an additional 200-300% more players if theyd release the files and let us host our own servers.
and then, if they setup a modding framework, this game would be as popular as dayz.......
but nooooooooooo! lets not LEARN from SUCCESSFUL games now. no no no. that'd be too easy!

Yeah, we need the server files. Games that let people run their own servers do much better in the long run.

And t hats exactly why this game will die. I wont play it even if it would be the greatest game on steam. Nobody who is really into hosting serveres wants to have rented g-portal or whatever company name servers. That's just a really poor decision of the devs.
