why are there hardly any boats anymore

noone knows, heard theres like 10 boats per server, havent seen a boat at all. none, an I was always playing by boat i know where to look. bikes pretty common, but id really like a boat, bots are literally spawning in on me as i ride thru a poi

I tend to just use my bike for trader runs or to get my crud back. Not exactly fun having an entire patrol pop in on ya.

My base is next to a boat spawn. 9 times out of 10 when I log in there's a boat waiting for me

Usually, there are 25 -35 people on my server. If the number of boats is 10 - the chances to get the boat even if you know their spawning sites become smaller.

I searched a lot of the map yesterday, places in the past where boats spawned. I found one boat, compared to how many used to spawn

I think they have some sort of ratio for boats, bikes, 2 seater bikes and trucks. Previously, it was 100% boats. Now it's probably 25% or lower. The more vehicle types they add, the smaller the number of any particular vehicle becomes.

I'd guess he stating that the number of boats to motorcycles is definitely off. That there should be a more balanced setting. When you can find motorcycles everywhere and you search the whole map and barely find any boats, there's a problem.

I agree with your clarification. But bikes definitely gives more thrill comparing to boats: if you are using a bike and using the road the encounter with AI patrol is common. Still I think the boat is better for safe long trip to hard and epic mission.

i read this post today - and i also was wondering about boats. I did think that it might be vehicles per server (boats, cars and bikes) - and since the update I hadnt seen any boats at all. But, today, guess what? Three boats found at different places on the map. I hadnt seen any for a week or so - and now 3 in one day. 2 dinghy s and one airboat.

I've put over a hundred hours in since 1.0 launched and haven't seen a single boat. I haven't even heard one on the water.
