It's good. Devs added land vehicles and a bunch of other stuff for 1.0.
Right now there is full PVP with raiding, PVP with no raiding, and PVE only.
It isn't. I put a good amount of time into this during early access and it has been some of the most fun in a multiplayer game I've had compared to playing Squad. I can't get into SCUM or DayZ compared to this. It's just a nice blend of survival without taking forever to find PVP.
I've seen a few asset flip games, or indie games come and go. Deadside has always retained players since it launched into early access. Without any ads, only word of mouth.
It's a solid game.
With 1.0 out I disagree on the grind part. The new base building system is atrocious with the amount of time you need to gather the resources for base upkeep. Add a vehicle (or vehicles) and it gets a lot worse.
That is, if you prefer PvE content. If you want PvP then I'd play just about anything else.
The pvp is good in this game tho cos you can actually get it fast and not have to grind for hours with literally nothin. Kill npc, take guns, kill players get better guns, make base, dominate server.
Yeah, I was getting into the game a bit more in the past few weeks and was mostly enjoying it but then 1.0 came out and now I almost don't want to play it anymore because of some of the changes. The resource grind is one of the biggest problems, I simply don't want to sit in one place hacking at trees and bushes for long periods of time just to keep my base from magically disintegrating for no apparent reason.
Don't get me wrong here. I think gathering to build a base pre-1.0 wasn't great because of how long it took to get enough logs, and while getting sticks for a very basic base is easier now the need to constantly keep grinding resources just to maintain your base is far worse than that. Not sure why they added this horrible upkeep system. What's really messed up is that everything I place seems to be damaged instantly even if I have a "resource closet" full of resources to "maintain" my base. I just built it, why do I have to repair it?
Have you ever hacked a tree with a woodchopper axe tho? U literally can get 100 wood in about 4 seconds so thats not really the grindy part.
No, because I don't have any silly magic items in the game that are capable of obtaining 100 logs in 4 seconds... if such an item exists then I can see how it could cut down on the grind.
I had a woodcutting Axe on a tree yday and I had 100 wood in literal seconds so not sure , maybe a bug? No idea regardless it eas mad easy to get .
Spare parts different matter
