weapon attachment question

How to obtain, build or where to buy a silencer for weapons?
Also do the AI not swamp you hardcore if you use a silencer?

Silencers are only for pistols at this point - found on scavs. Muzzle brakes are found in crates if you finish a mission.

With scavs you mean walking around patrols on roads?
Forgive me for asking such silly questions, very new to the game and trying to learn as much as possible.
I tried to do an easy mission, lets just say...i died 5 seconds after i engaged hahaha

Muzzle breaks can be found in more than just missions. Crate drops have them too.

air drops , mission crates , random world supply boxes , npc's and best of all other players gear and or base stash boxes when you can get at them and convoy case rewards

Think you can buy them from the trader that shows up randomly on the map
