You need it to use the underground draisine from one trader zone to antoher- you have near the traders tunnels which are guarded. give one of the guards 3 dog tags for one trip. for the trip bag you will need 3 more dog tags. so they are very useful and can be found not only in mission rewards but also in hidden chests which you can find ´with the tresure finde (craft it with a radio + a wire). if you are exploring the map or just have an dedicated objective, have that finder activated. you will find some usefull things like ammo, pistols, dog tags, remotes for explosives....
