I stopped playing this game because of no dedicated server hosting tool.
Or did I dream that...

Just so you all know i was in their Discord and their Community Manager told me that to provide the community with Server files would be a big undertaken. Even though all they need to do is give us what GPortal has. So I would not expect to see this. My guess is this dev team is getting kick backs because they are keeping us from running servers outside these select host companies.

No offline mode. No server files. Seems fishy but it can be a fun game at times.
Yeah they lied full stop then. The reason they wont provide dedicated server files is cos they dont want us to know what UE Marketplace kit they used to build Deadsite lol. Devs are money grabbers, its that simple.
I wouldn't take anything that dude says with an ounce of truth. Everything he said after that was misleading.
What was initially stated by the devs was after full release we will get the server files. If things have changed then I believe we are owed an explanation.
"The world of Deadside is a vast open space full of dense forests and abandoned settlements. Players will eventually have access to an area of about 225 sq.km, entangled by a network of roads and rivers. Early Access playable area will be limited to about 25 sq.km. The world is inhabited by various hostile and friendly NPCs. Exploring the forests, you can face a gang of cannibals just about to eat lunch. Or a group of wanderers trying to survive in a hostile environment."
New One:
"DEADSIDE blends your favorite Survival Shooter elements in a fast-paced open world where progression is swift and loot is plenty. Obtain valuable gear, and store it in a safe zone. Or build your own fortress in the wild, securing it with turrets, making it cozy while boosting your stats, and use it to store your vehicles and loot. Traverse the world by foot, car, motorcycle, boat, or a Quick Travel metro system. Make friends or enemies. Join PVP or PVE servers. Explore the vast open world filled with challenging events, and raid your enemies."
Map size has been removed as well from what I can find looking at steam right now.
We don't have gangs of cannibals in the forests. I'm glad for that, but still, I see a habit of moving the goal post and it isn't always in the right direction.
No your right dude. They did state that on full release, that dedicated server files will be released. Why the hell do ppl want to rent a server based on a old game??. We want to host are own servers its that simple. Devs are either lying about the server files or just money hung sharks.....
No its the fact the devs have lied and not released the files when it was promised. Again i see it as a very dead game and now even more dead, that they lied... about the server files. No matter what way you look at it. It a FACT and now ppl will have more of a reason to just uninstall Deadside.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I also heard that in 1.0 you would be able to pick up another backpack that you find and put it in your backpack...that didn't happen
