Get off your high horse little buddy, unlike 95% of the Deadside community I never had an issue with the AI, you can look up my previous posts on this discussion board where I clash with people claiming the AI is OP and has aimbot, oh and let's not forget the peeps crying about "I can't hold my breath for more than 1 sec :'-(".
Keep deflecting all you want, but the changes YOU want have nothing to do with Deadside, they have been made in other games and failed. You want to play that kind of stuff? Once again, go play those games and leave Deadside alone. It truly seems like you are the one having a hard time playing Deadside and want all the usual generic stuff you find in other games to feel comfy.
Played on servers with no safe zones and despite rules of not camping the traders people do it all day, everyday.
Even on servers with rules to not camp within 300 meters or whatever you'll have 17 people 300.000000000000000000000000000000000001 meters outside waiting.
It's fantastic to be in a menu trying to sell or buy something and get killed with no defense or recourse.
As stated it adds nothing to the game and quite frankly screws newer or more casual players that want to try the game.
If they really want to do this then add it as a server owner option to toggle on or off and have 50% of the official servers to have one option or the other.
Also.
What about the people that bought the supporter pack for expanded storage?
Do I get my money back?
As far as the hold breath for 1 second comment above, it's completely wrong in game.
I can plink a 30-round mag on a single breath and when scoped in my scope doesn't actively fight me to remain on target AND I can actually post up against or on something for even better accuracy. So the crying comment makes no sense?
SCUM. BLEH. The only game I removed from my library. Drowned in ankle deep puddles far too often and 90% of the crafting recipes didn't work or consumed the containers and stuff used to craft i.e. you need water for something and it consumes the water and the steel pot you had it in. (it's been 3+ years since I played, to be fair)
There was nothing ironic about your original post and you kept deflecting any counter arguments. But I agree, there is nothing else to talk about: besides myself you received 12 replies to your topic, 11 negative, and 1 that agreed there should be more 5.45 weapons. That really says it all about your ideas.
Believe it or not SCUM has gotten worse, any update or new system they implement just breaks the game or completely removes things. They completely removed all the vehicles and only reintroduced 2 cars and one bicycle, they added hand abrasion that needs healing or keeps lowering your health, and then they added the most useless feature ever: fatigue. You literally have to sleep in game or log off to let your character sleep. And there are countless other mechanics they added that simply don;t work without having you waste hours getting stuff.
Bummer.
I remember when if came out there was so much hype over the nutrition and health systems, crafting, etc.
Turns out it sucks, once you get iron deficiency you always have it on every character through death and eating enough food requires 16,000 calories a day or your guy is constantly hungry.
I know Loaf wants to drive DeadSide towards a certain goal.
The question is, I guess, does he want the game to be more accessible and grow or cater to more veteran players and/or his own desires?
I don't get the big problem here. I do find it kinda ridiculous that trees don't get chopped and that AI spin around and know where you are instantly, to me these features probably should get a look at, introduce stamina and food/water drain based on what activity you are doing, if you are standing around then you aren't burning water/food as fast as full sprint. when you are super full you shouldn't get a buff it should be like when you are 80 percent full, who the hells runs on a full stomach.
but instead they are messing with green zone removal, like sure thats cool but maybe work on fixing the jank - no toggle for leans, no prone, hold breath being the same button as run.
like fix these things first, get rid of the jank and it will be easier to recommend to new friends.
you wont - i believe this is only being touted as a possible option for privately owned servers - Official servers will retain the safe zone - or there may be one or two new official servers without it. But i dont believe the intent is to remove them (safe zones) from the game.
at this time anyway
Having storage in the safezone feels like a cheap way to keep your loot save in what is supposed to be this high risk perma death game.
@ Punani, I guess the world doesn't need any banks and you like to loot stores after they close, break everything inside of them and then, set them on fire after you leave? I reckon you don't need all those CS:GO items you have stored in your Steam Inventory, either. How 'bout asking Steam to remove that, as well?
