Tho i do feel ya, i been there almost from the beginning of the game and the end just feels highkey underwhelming. At first it really was just a town-building/friend-making sim featuring grind and by the later iterations we got some implications of plot that just get dropped the moment you unlock the edge of solemn all those books led up to like a hot potatoe, it really just felt hamfisted
especially seeing how difficult it was to get all the books together and unlock the mystical edge. to be greeted by a mere island, gaining two pointless items
(the season changer is only really useful for getting the books and finishing the museum. since the books have many of the items the museum needs, it comes to no surprise that the museum is pretty much finished by the time you finish adventuring for the books)
i even tried bringing Lilith and Dark to the edge to hang out, figuring they might have a cutscene hidden or something... but sadly not :c
i loved making my town in the game, i loved the story it drew... but it didnt end on a high note, especially seeing they hinted at the darkness returning
maybe a possible sequel game perhaps? only time will tell.
